How long have you been in business?
About 14 years. I started getting seriously active after my retirement from the Rockingham County Sheriff's Dept. Communications Maintenance Division back in 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
We operate (4) web sites. Criticalbattery.com focuses on replacement rechargeable batteries for Military, Public Safety and Consumers. Criticaltowers.com is for ROHN Products LLC Communications towers. We offer factory turn-key site construction or just the plans and steel if you want to construct your own. Criticalradio.com is for Two-Way radios and audio accessories. Criticalresponder.com is a catch all for Public Safety type products. This site is full of usefull links for Public Safety and Military.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was the communications technician and then department head for the Two-Way radio service division at the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department, NH. I started work under Sheriff's George Sampson then Charlie and Wayne Vetter. It was an exciting time to be in law enforcement communications.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My experience. I have all of my web sites set up so that no matter what you do you will need to talk to me about it first. My experience with communications products goes from two-way radios, batteries, headsets & accessories to commercial Cell Site towers and Military installations. When you deal with me you talk to a human every time! I'll steer you in the right direction and deliver the advice you need that will save you money and get you the right product. If I cannot help you, I'll find someone that can.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work from my home office in Sandown NH. All of my products are shipped factory fresh direct from those manufacturers. There is no "New Old Stock" sitting around here just brand new factory direct. I enjoy what I'm doing and plan to keep the operation like it is for now.
