The Applewood Learning Center, in active participation

successfully through the journey of early childhood -
from infancy through the schoolage years.
At Applewood Learning Center, we believe that each child is an individual with his/her own set of emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs. Our programs are designed to facilitate the child's development at his or her own pace in a noncompetitive, supportive atmosphere.
Children learn about their world through play. A child's play is the cornerstone in the foundation of his or her development. Applewood Learning Center provides an environment which stimulates and encourages a child's natural desire to learn.

How long have you been in business?
Since 1989.
What is your primary product or service?
High-quality early care and education for children ages six weeks through twelve years, and their families.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Libby Brunette, the Director of The Applewood Learning Center, holds a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. Her experience includes teaching young children, at-risk youth and mediating for families in crisis.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Applewood is a non-profit early care and education program. Our Board of Directors is comprised of parents whose children are enrolled in our program. Our staff has a high level of experience and education, including some with Masters degrees. We have a very low rate of staff turnover and our teachers are all credentialed through the State of NH Child Development Bureau. Applewood is a Licensed Plus program through the State of NH.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Applewood has a single location at One Palmer Dr. in Londonderry. Just off of Rte. 102 (Exit 4 off of Rte. 93)

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Libby Brunette is the Director of The Applewood Learning Center. She is responsible for the daily operations, while the Board of Directors is responsible for the overall operation of the program.
